"Fragmented Memories in Red" 2024Galerie Depardieu, Nice, France
Thursday 27 June 2024 from 4pm to 9pm "Fragmented Memories in Red" explores the complexities of fragmented memory. The artwork interweaves processed images from art history, creating a tapestry of emotions and memories. The dominant color, red, pulsates through the work, symbolizing the passion, intensity and interconnectedness of scattered memories. Each delicately woven fragment invites the viewer to reflect on the complex nature of memory and its profound impact on our perception of the past.
"Fragmented Memories in Red" is a visual journey that questions the limits of memory and invites introspection on the fluidity of our memories. Texte: L. Chalziiakovou
Curateurs: C. Savvidis, T. Vrahopoulos Conception graphique: G. Papalexandrou |
The exhibition "Mémoires fragmentées en rouge" (Fragmented memories in red) is the third chapter of Elli Chrysidou's trilogy on loss.

"Tale of X Cities" is an ongoing project since 2021Tale of X Cities was launched in 2021 at the initiative of the Goethe-Institut Thessaloniki, under the artistic direction of ArtBOX.
In 2021, 12 cities of Northern Greece, more than 20 institutions and more than 140 citizens from all over the region participated, creating a unique dynamic and a huge interest for the continuation, both at the level of institutions and citizens. Moreover, the project was already presented as an example of good practice at the international hybrid festival FREIRAUM, with the participation of representatives of the collaborating institutions and participating citizens. Following this huge success, the organisers and the partner organisations decided to continue the programme, with the aim of creating a strong institution which, while bringing together a trans-regional community of citizens and institutions, becomes a powerful lever for redefining and promoting the identity of the region. Since 2021 Elli Chrysidou is the Mentor of the Workshops. |
